What is online marketing?
“What is online marketing?” tends to be one of the first questions our clients ask. The phrase ‘online marketing’ simply refers to the strategies which may be used to market a product or service online.
Online marketing strategies might include search engine optimization and search engine submission, writing website copy in such a way that it encourages visitors to take action, specific website design techniques, online promotions, reciprocal linking, email marketing and even business blogs (a sort of on-going online diary).
Successful online marketing strategies
Creating a successful online marketing strategy requires more than just a web site. Many organisations have fallen into the 'everyone else has got one so we must have one too' trap. The web site is produced 'in-house' by the IT person and, as long as it is not embarrassing to look at, everyone is happy.

- Can you contact these customers easily to get new or repeat business?
